Apple Car Play using the GPS

I have an iPhone 6 and want to use it through Apple Car Play for the GPS. Very handy with all of my contacts already in it. I have the on board GPS map set to Direction Up and the same on the iPhone. But when the phone is plugged into the car and using Apple Car Play the map/directions on the car defaults to North Up which I dislike very much. Does anyone know how to have it be Direction Up?
